Book Fair Fun

Yay!  We visited the book fair!  There are SOOOOO many books we want :)

Book Fair

Book Fair!

Welcome to Book Fair Week!

Come along to the library and see all the wonderful books that can be bought.  We are visiting the fair this morning so I'm sure your children will come home with some great ideas.

Today we are celebrating the book fair by wearing a hat, tiara or crown.  Look at how cool we all look.  Don't forget that it is dress up as a book character on Friday.

Exploration Time

On Friday afternoon we had Exploration Time - time to choose what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it and who we wanted to do it with.  It was so lovely seeing everyone being collaborative, sharing and problem solving together.  What great learning happened during this time!  We hope you can see the enjoyment taking place in our photos.

Parents Challenge

This is one for the parents!  Get your ANZAC thinking hat on.  Can you name the person who is aligned to a donkey?  If you can, write down your answer - give it to your child and all correct answers will receive a MAK award (no you won't receive the MAK award - your child will).

Good luck!

ANZAC Service

Anzac - We Will Remember Them

2015 is the 100th anniversary for our ANZACs and we have been learning about the relevance of it and how it relates to us.  We have created a display in Homeroom 6 (Thanks Mrs Monaghan!!) where you will find some of our wonderings and our little poppy garden that we planted today.  Yesterday morning, Mr Davies came into our POD and 4 of our students made the crosses that form a part of the memorial next to the Junior Playground.

Today we held a ceremony which was attended by the Army and Airforce and we even heard The Last Post played on the bugle.

It was a very poignant ceremony and we had shivers running down our spine.

Please come and visit our display in Homeroom 6 as it continues to develop over the next couple of weeks.

Movie Time

Yay!!  It's the last day of Term 1 and we are watching 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.  We have been reading the story during brain food time and are loving watching it in action.

Have a happy and safe holiday everyone!!

Easter Bunny

We had the Easter Bunny visit this morning.  How cute are you Miss Ava!!!

Ukelele Time

Vesper has ukelele lessons today so we were luckily enough to have her play us a wee tune this morning.  Thanks Vesper!
