Te Manawa

Thank you so much for those of you who have returned the permission slip for Te Manawa.  These need to be back by Friday at the latest.  Many thanks.  Thank you also to those who have indicated they can be a parent helper.  We really appreciate your support and will email you at a later date.

We know it's cold and some of you will be using lots of newspaper to light your fires, but... if you have any spare, we would love it as we need it for our art.  We are also running really low on black bic pens and pencils if you have any spare (we seriously have a pen and pencil eating monster in our Pod!!).

Cultural Time

During Cultural Time on Fridays, one of the rotations is singing.  This YouTube clip showcases our great singing.

Science Boards

Here are our exciting science boards that were created from three of the experiments.  

Exploration Time

We love Exploration Time. 

It is a chance to choose what activity we want to do (out of every activity there is to do in the Pod!!). We can go between different activities and work / play with whomever we want.  It's a fantastic time to help develop our social skills (sharing, taking turns, work collaboratively), as well as taking responsibility for ourselves.

Stick Insect

Benji and Leo found a stick insect on their way to school yesterday and brought it in to show us.  How awesome!  Luckily the boys put it back on a nice bush so he didn't crawl all over us.
