I have not seen my writing group more motivated than what they are right now. They are writing animal reports and are researching their chosen animal. Once this is done they will make a good copy of their drafts so they have a report to share with others. Well done guys!!

Our boys love doing collaborative writing! Check out these great stories.
Monday 24th August
One day a boy and an alien went to the shop on space and it was fun.
In the weekend there was a prison break. It was really dangerous because there was fire. Then a bad guy sneaked out. Everyone had to learn because it was on fire. Everyone almost died but one superhero flew over to save them. It was really hard for the superhero to save them. He put out the fire and they lived happily ever after.

Our Big Book for Week 4 is Dan and the Parrot.
What a great week we have had reading through and discussing our book.
We have been artistic and created our own parrots. We are sharing these at school assembly.
Toa was also very fortunate to have Mr Forbes, Izaak's Dad, bring in their beautiful parrot, Ishy. We learnt about the Eclectus Parrot, originating from Australia and Mr Forbes answered lots of questions we had.

What a wonderful way to kick off our Writing programme with a great shared experience. As the new school learning space continues to be built, the rumble of trucks and hammering of nails, have us all watching the progress.
The arrival of the concrete pouring truck had the Junior school outside to witness the foundations being laid.
